Dental Treatments at Our Kandivali West Clinic

AesthEra Dental Studio offers general, surgical, restorative and cosmetic dentistry from a single clinic on M.G. Road. Below is every treatment we provide, what it involves, and how many visits it usually takes.

Dental Services We Provide

Dental Check-up & Diagnosis

Your first step towards better dental health. We examine your teeth, gums, bite and supporting structures, and use X-rays when required to understand your concerns and recommend the right treatment.

Dental Scaling & Polishing

A professional dental cleaning that removes plaque, tartar and surface stains that regular brushing cannot. It helps maintain healthy teeth and gums and is generally recommended every 6 months.

Gum & Periodontal Treatment

If your gums bleed, swell or recede, you may need more than routine cleaning. Treatment can range from deep cleaning to specialised gum procedures, depending on the health of your gums.

Dental Fillings & Restorations

When a tooth is affected by decay, a small fracture or wear, we use tooth-coloured materials to restore its natural shape, strength and appearance.

Root Canal Treatment

A treatment that helps save a deeply decayed, infected or damaged tooth. The unhealthy tissue inside the tooth is removed, the tooth is carefully cleaned and sealed, and then restored so you can use it comfortably again.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

A crown covers and protects a weakened or damaged tooth, while a bridge can replace one or more missing teeth. Both are custom-made to restore your bite, function and smile.

Tooth Replacement with Dental Implants

Dental implants are a long-term solution for replacing missing teeth. An implant acts like an artificial tooth root and supports a natural-looking crown, bridge or denture.

Dentures

Dentures replace several or all missing teeth and can help restore chewing, speech and appearance. They are custom-made to fit comfortably and can be removable.

Tooth Removal & Surgical Extraction

When a tooth needs to be removed, we first assess its condition and position. A routine extraction is performed when the tooth can be safely removed without surgery, while a surgical extraction may be required for broken, deeply positioned or impacted teeth.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

When several areas of your mouth need attention, we create one comprehensive treatment plan rather than treating each problem separately. This may combine fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, gum treatments and other procedures.

Dental Veneers

Ceramic veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They can improve the colour, shape, length and proportions of teeth and address selected spacing concerns for a more balanced, natural-looking smile.

Composite Bonding

A tooth-coloured material is added and shaped directly on your natural tooth to close small gaps, repair chips or improve its shape and appearance.

Teeth Whitening & Dental Bleaching

Professional whitening treatments help lighten the natural colour of your teeth and reduce stains and discolouration for a brighter smile.

Clear Aligners & Braces

Orthodontic treatment gradually moves your teeth into a better position. Depending on your needs, treatment may involve clear aligners or traditional braces to improve alignment, bite and smile aesthetics.

Smile Makeover

A smile makeover combines different cosmetic dental treatments to create a smile that looks balanced and natural. Depending on your needs, this may include veneers, composite bonding, teeth whitening, aligners, crowns and gum contouring.

Gum Contouring

A cosmetic procedure that reshapes excess or uneven gum tissue to create a more balanced gum line and improve the proportions of your smile.

Pediatric Dentistry

Dental care specially designed for children, including preventive care, regular check-ups and early treatment. We focus on healthy dental development while helping children feel comfortable and confident about visiting the dentist.

Geriatric Dentistry

Dental care tailored to the changing needs of older adults, including care for natural teeth and gums, replacement of missing teeth and treatment to maintain comfortable chewing and good oral health.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom teeth can sometimes cause pain, swelling, infection or difficulty cleaning. We assess their position and recommend removal when they are likely to cause problems.

Category One

General & Preventive Dentistry

The least expensive dentistry you will ever have is the dentistry that stops a small problem becoming a large one. Most of the complex cases we treat began as something that could have been handled in a single short visit.

Dental Check-up & Diagnosis

A full clinical examination with digital X-rays, checking every tooth, the gums, the bite and the soft tissues. You are shown what we find on screen and told which issues need attention now and which can be monitored.

Typical Duration — One visit

Dental Scaling & Polishing

Professional removal of plaque and calculus from above and below the gumline, followed by polishing. Recommended every six to twelve months for most patients, more frequently where gum disease is being managed.

Typical Duration — One visit

Fillings & Restorations

Tooth-coloured composite restorations to repair decay, fracture or wear. Placed to restore the shape and function of the tooth, matched to the surrounding shade.

Typical Duration — One visit

Gum & Periodontal Treatment

Assessment and treatment of bleeding, receding or inflamed gums, including deep cleaning and periodontal maintenance. Gum health is checked before any implant, crown or aesthetic work is planned, because restorations built on unhealthy gums do not hold.

Typical Duration — One to multiple visits, depending on severity

Category Two

Oral Surgery & Dental Implants

This is the part of the practice led by Dr. Janmesh Galvankar, M.D.S. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a fellowship in maxillofacial trauma. Cases that many general practices refer out are managed here, in the same clinic, by the surgeon who planned them.

Dental Implants

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth with a titanium fixture placed into the jawbone, which then supports a crown, bridge or denture. It is the closest available replacement to a natural tooth, both in how it functions and in how it preserves the bone around it. Implants at AesthEra are planned surgically and restoratively at the same time. The surgeon decides where the implant can go; the restorative dentist decides where the tooth needs to be. When those two decisions are made together, the final result looks and functions the way it was designed to. We work with Straumann, Osstem, Neobiotech, Adin and Norris implant systems, selected case by case rather than by default. The system used for your case, and why, is explained to you before treatment.

Typical Duration — Three to four visits over three to four months, depending on healing and whether grafting is required

Suitable For — Patients missing one or more teeth, patients with old or failing bridges and dentures, and patients who want a fixed long-term replacement rather than a removable one

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Removal of erupted or impacted third molars. Impacted wisdom teeth sit at an angle under the gum or bone and require a surgical approach — precisely the kind of case where having a maxillofacial surgeon in-house changes the experience.

Typical Duration — One visit

Surgical Extractions

Removal of teeth that are broken at the gumline, heavily decayed, root-treated and fractured, or otherwise not removable by simple extraction. Managed surgically with attention to preserving the bone for any future implant.

Typical Duration — One visit

Maxillofacial Surgical Procedures

Dr. Janmesh consults across Mumbai in oral, maxillofacial and craniofacial trauma. Patients requiring surgical management beyond routine dentistry are assessed here and treated or referred appropriately, with continuity of care maintained throughout.

Typical Duration — Assessed case by case

Category Three

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative work is about keeping teeth in function for as long as possible. Where a natural tooth can be saved, we will tell you so — and where it genuinely cannot, we will tell you that too.

Root Canal Treatment

When decay or trauma reaches the nerve inside a tooth, root canal treatment removes the infected tissue, disinfects and shapes the canal, and seals it — allowing you to keep a tooth that would otherwise need extraction. Carried out with rotary-assisted instrumentation for more consistent shaping. A root-canal-treated tooth usually needs a crown afterwards to protect it from fracture. That is discussed as part of the plan, not raised as an unexpected extra later.

Typical Duration — One visit, up to three or four in more complex cases

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns rebuild teeth that are too damaged for a filling. Bridges replace a missing tooth by anchoring to the teeth on either side. Both are designed from intraoral scans, which improves fit and reduces the adjustment appointments that impression-based work often needs.

Typical Duration — Two to three visits

Dentures

Complete and partial removable dentures, including implant-supported options for patients who want the stability of a fixed solution without full-arch implant treatment. Fit, comfort and speech are reviewed after fitting, not assumed.

Typical Duration — Multiple visits, confirmed at consultation

Full-Mouth Rehabilitation

For patients whose teeth are severely worn, broken, heavily restored over many years, or lost across both arches. This is complete reconstruction of the bite, combining surgery, implants, crowns and aesthetic work in a planned sequence. These are the cases that most clearly justify how this practice is set up. Full-mouth rehabilitation cannot be done well by a surgeon alone or a cosmetic dentist alone — it needs both, planning the same case from the start.

Typical Duration — Five to seven visits across three to six months

Category Four

Cosmetic Dentistry & Smile Makeovers

Aesthetic dentistry at AesthEra is led by Dr. Shruti Daptardar, fellowship-trained in aesthetic and restorative dentistry and a teacher of these techniques to other dentists. Cases are planned with clinical photography and digital design so that you can see and discuss the intended outcome before treatment begins.

We also say no to cosmetic work when it is not in your interest — when the bite needs correcting first, when the gums need treating, or when a more conservative option would achieve what you want with less removal of natural tooth.

Smile Makeover

A combined plan rather than a single procedure. Depending on your case it may involve veneers, composite bonding, whitening, crowns, aligners or gum contouring, sequenced to address shape, colour, spacing and alignment together.

Typical Duration — One visit, up to four or five for comprehensive cases

Dental Veneers

Thin custom-made shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth to change shape, colour, length or spacing. Designed conservatively, with as much natural tooth structure preserved as the case allows.

Typical Duration — One visit, up to three or four

Composite Bonding

Tooth-coloured composite sculpted directly onto the tooth to close a gap, repair a chipped edge or reshape a tooth — usually in a single appointment and without the tooth reduction that veneers require. Often the more sensible starting point for younger patients and smaller corrections.

Typical Duration — One visit

Teeth Whitening & Bleaching

Professional whitening to lighten the natural shade of the teeth, carried out in the clinic under supervision. Results vary by individual, depending on the starting shade and the cause of the discolouration, and are discussed honestly before you commit.

Typical Duration — One visit, up to two or three

Category Five

Braces & Clear Aligners

Straightening teeth is not only cosmetic. Crowded and misaligned teeth are harder to clean, wear unevenly and place uneven load on the joints. We treat adults and adolescents with both fixed and removable systems.

Clear Aligners

A series of custom removable trays that move the teeth gradually, planned digitally from an intraoral scan. Nearly invisible in normal conversation and removable for meals — which is why most working adults choose them. We work with Invisalign, Illusion and other aligner systems, chosen according to the complexity of the case.

Typical Duration — Six months to one and a half years

Braces

Fixed orthodontic treatment for cases where aligners are not the appropriate choice, or where the patient prefers a fixed system. Reviewed at regular intervals through the course of treatment.

Typical Duration — Six months to one and a half years

Category Six

Paediatric & Geriatric Dentistry

Paediatric Dentistry

Children's dentistry with an emphasis on the first experience being an unhurried one. Check-ups, preventive care, fillings and guidance on brushing and diet. A child who is not frightened of the dental chair at six is a very different adult patient at thirty.

Geriatric Dentistry

Dentistry for older patients, including denture work, implant-supported solutions, management of worn dentitions and treatment planned around existing medical conditions and medication. Appointments are paced to suit the patient.
